1. About these terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of goev.lk ("GOEV", "we", "us"), a website where people in Sri Lanka can explore electric vehicle brands and distributors, find charging stations, and post or browse used electric vehicle listings. By using the website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. Our role
GOEV is a platform that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to any sale. Listings are posted by users, and we do not own, inspect, test or guarantee any vehicle. Any agreement to buy or sell is only between the buyer and the seller.
3. Accounts
You can sign in with your Google account to post and manage listings. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
4. Posting listings
When you post a listing you confirm that:
- you own the vehicle or are authorised to sell it;
- the details, price and photos are accurate and not misleading;
- you own the photos or have permission to use them;
- your listing does not break any law or anyone's rights.
Your name, photos, vehicle details and any phone number you add will be visible to everyone who visits the website. You can edit or delete your listings at any time from My posts.
5. Things you must not do
- Post false, fraudulent, duplicate or spam listings.
- Upload illegal, offensive or infringing content.
- Collect other users' details for marketing, or contact them for reasons unrelated to a listing.
- Attempt to hack, overload or interfere with the website.
- Copy the website's design, code or content for commercial use without our written permission.
6. Our right to remove content
We may remove any listing or restrict any account that we believe breaks these terms or the law, without notice.
7. Accuracy of information
Charging station information, brand and distributor details and other content on the website are provided for general guidance and may be incomplete or out of date. Please confirm important details directly with the seller, distributor or station operator.
8. Third-party links and services
The website links to and uses third-party services, such as Google (sign-in, maps and analytics), Firebase and social media sites. We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content or practices.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, GOEV is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the website, from any listing or transaction between users, or from the website being unavailable.
10. Intellectual property
The GOEV name, logo, design and content belong to GOEV or its licensors. Brand names and logos of vehicle makers and distributors belong to their respective owners and are shown for identification only.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the website means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
